This article announces the general availability of Amazon EC2 G7 instances, delivering high-performance GPU acceleration for AI inference, graphics, and data analytics workloads.

  • G7 instances feature NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs with 32 GB memory per GPU and custom Intel Xeon Scalable processors
  • Deliver up to 4.6x AI inference performance and 2.1x graphics performance compared to G6 instances
  • Offer 700 Gbps EFA-enabled networking (7x vs G6) and up to 7.6 TB local NVMe SSD storage
  • Support up to 8 GPUs, 192 vCPUs, 768 GiB system memory across 7 instance sizes
  • Include advanced video encoding/decoding engines supporting 1.5x concurrent video streams
  • Available in US East (Ohio) and US West (Oregon) with multiple purchasing options

G7 instances enable high-performance GPU workloads including AI inference, graphics rendering, video transcoding, spatial computing, VDI, and data analytics.
