AWS introduces a new recertification path allowing certification holders to maintain their credentials through continuous learning instead of retaking exams.

• Complete curated digital courses and hands-on labs covering evolving topics in your certification domain
• Associate-level certifications require 500 points including at least one practical activity
• Professional-level certifications require 700 points including at least two practical activities
• Certification extends automatically by one year upon completion, with no testing center appointment needed
• Available in open Beta for Solutions Architect, Developer, CloudOps, DevOps, and other Associate/Professional certifications
• Maintaining a higher-level certification automatically extends related lower-level certifications
• Requires active AWS Skill Builder subscription and certification within 90 days of expiration
