- New maximum worker size: 32 vCPUs with up to 244 GB memory (previously 16 vCPUs with 120 GB)
- Larger workers reduce inefficient data transfers for shuffle-heavy workloads
- Reduces out-of-memory failures for jobs with data skew
- Enables more in-memory data caching for improved job performance
- Available in all AWS Regions where EMR Serverless is supported
