Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio now supports custom asset types for IAM-based domains, allowing administrators to catalog assets in any format within a unified catalog.
- Catalog any asset format including medical imaging files, PowerBI dashboards, and PDF reports
- Create custom asset types with names, descriptions, and optional metadata forms
- Enrich assets with glossary terms and README documentation for business context
- Enable domain users to search, discover, and subscribe to assets through governed workflows
- Available in all AWS Regions where SageMaker Unified Studio is available
Custom asset types eliminate the need for separate tools by bringing all assets into a single discoverable catalog for teams.
