AWS Organizations now automatically applies security controls by default when creating new organizations via the console, simplifying initial security configuration.
- Automatically applies service control policies (SCPs) preventing member accounts from leaving or closing
- Protects multi-account environments from unintended account departures
- Provides immediate protection without requiring deep security expertise
- Lightweight security defaults that don't impede legitimate operations
- Available in US East (N. Virginia), AWS GovCloud (US-East), AWS GovCloud (US-West), China (Beijing), and China (Ningxia)
- Full control to modify or disable settings at any time
