AWS announces Context Ontology Accelerator, an open source accelerator that helps organizations build machine-readable ontologies of their business to enable trustworthy AI agent decisions.
- Connects to structured and unstructured data sources to draft ontologies reviewed by domain experts
- Stores approved ontologies in owned knowledge graphs using open W3C standards
- Includes Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for agent consumption
- Reduces months of manual ontology work to days
- Available on GitHub under Apache 2.0 license
- Uses Amazon Neptune, OpenSearch Serverless, and Bedrock foundation models
- Will integrate as native feature in AWS Context
