AWS Transform for full-stack Windows modernization announced general availability of offline source transformation, enabling SQL Server database modernization to Aurora PostgreSQL without live connections.

  • Upload SQL Server DDL files directly to assess database and stored procedure complexity
  • Convert tables, schemas, stored procedures, and functions to PostgreSQL-compatible formats
  • Transform .NET applications with updated connection strings and data-access calls
  • Validate functional equivalence and deploy converted schema to Aurora PostgreSQL
  • Iterate in web console or use AWS Transform MCP server with preferred IDE
  • Generate synthetic test data for end-to-end application validation
  • Available in US East (N. Virginia)

Enterprises can now modernize legacy .NET applications and SQL Server databases without requiring live database connections, streamlining the migration process.
