Amazon GameLift Streams now offers service-managed shader caching that automatically captures and distributes shader caches across streaming locations.
- Designate stream sessions for shader cache capture without application changes
- Service automatically replicates caches to compatible stream groups and locations
- Reduces loading times and visual stuttering during sessions
- Monitor cache status and storage size via ListApplicationShaderCaches API or console
- Supports Linux (Ubuntu 22.04), Proton, and Windows Server 2022 runtimes
- Charged for storage of the latest version of each shader cache
