Machine Learning Blog

AWS and OpenAI announce the availability of Daybreak Red and Daybreak Blue cybersecurity models on Amazon Bedrock for eligible customers, providing defenders with specialized AI capabilities for vulnerability discovery and remediation.

  • Daybreak Red offers GPT-5.6 Cyber for advanced tasks like vulnerability research and exploit reproduction with lower refusal thresholds
  • Daybreak Blue provides GPT-5.6 Sol for vulnerability discovery, detection engineering, and incident response with stronger safeguards
  • Models run on Bedrock's next-generation inference engine with zero-operator access, encryption, and IAM-governed access controls
  • Inference data is not used for model training and customers can request zero data retention
  • Available in US East (N. Virginia) to eligible customers enrolled in OpenAI's Trusted Access for Cyber program

These specialized models enable security teams to accelerate the vulnerability discovery and remediation process while maintaining control over sensitive code and vulnerability data within AWS infrastructure.
