This article announces that Amazon MWAA Serverless now supports PythonOperator and BashOperator for executing custom code directly in the serverless runtime.
- Run custom Python functions and shell scripts without provisioning additional infrastructure
- Execute data transformations, format conversions, and data quality checks natively
- Package Python modules or shell scripts as code packages and upload to Amazon S3
- Service snapshots code at workflow creation time for consistency across executions
- Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon MWAA Serverless is available
Data engineering teams can now execute their standard code patterns directly within serverless Airflow workflows.
