AWS Step Functions introduces a "Copy agent prompt" button that simplifies AI agent setup for building workflows using natural language.

  • One-click prompt copies setup instructions that auto-configure agents with Step Functions skills and MCP server
  • Supports Claude Code, Kiro CLI, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Devin Desktop, OpenCode, and other MCP-compatible agents
  • Agents gain access to Amazon States Language (ASL), service integrations, and deployment capabilities

  • Agents can deploy workflows, start executions, and inspect results without leaving the interface
