AWS Backup now supports backup and restore of more than 1,000 Amazon S3 buckets per account, matching the S3 bucket quota.
- Previously limited to 1,000 buckets per account; now supports all general purpose buckets
- Existing backup plans and configurations continue to work without changes
- Default AWS Backup managed policies require no updates
- Available in all AWS commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
This enhancement enables organizations to protect their entire S3 bucket portfolio with AWS Backup.
