AWS expands its Defending Digital Campaigns program for the 2026 election cycle, offering over 20 cybersecurity services at low or no cost to eligible federal political campaigns and committees.

  • AWS Security Agent (new for 2026) provides agentic AI assistance for penetration testing, design security reviews, and code security reviews
  • AWS Shield Advanced offers managed DDoS protection for campaign websites and donor portals during high-traffic election periods
  • AWS Wickr provides end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice, video, and file sharing with DoD and FedRAMP authorizations
  • Program includes 20+ services covering identity, network, data, and operational security
  • Eligible organizations include national party committees and federal House and Senate candidate campaigns
  • Enrollment available through the AWS Federal Political Campaigns page after DDC eligibility confirmation

The program helps campaigns of any size access enterprise-grade security tools to protect against nation-state actors and cybercriminals targeting election infrastructure.
