Amazon SageMaker Feature Store now supports individual feature updates to lower write latency

News

Amazon SageMaker Feature Store now supports feature-level writes, allowing data scientists to update individual features in records without rewriting entire records.

  • Update one or more feature values in a single request, replacing the read-modify-write pattern
  • Lowers write latency and cost by updating only requested features
  • Multiple pipelines can independently update the same record without merge logic
  • Enables high-volume single feature updates without complex data ingestion pipelines
  • Available in all AWS Regions where SageMaker Feature Store is offered

This capability streamlines feature management for AI model training and deployment workflows.
