Amazon ECS expands IAM condition key support for RunTask and StartTask APIs

Amazon ECS now supports IAM condition keys for CPU and memory resources on the RunTask and StartTask APIs, enabling administrators to enforce consistent resource limits across all task launch methods.

• ecs:task-cpu and ecs:task-memory condition keys extended to RunTask and StartTask APIs
• Previously available only on RegisterTaskDefinition, CreateService, and UpdateService APIs
• Provides unified mechanism to control resource allocation across ECS environments
• Helps prevent unexpected cost overruns and maintain resource policy compliance
• Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon ECS is available at no additional cost

This enhancement gives administrators consistent control over CPU and memory allocation across all methods of launching ECS tasks.
