AWS DevOps Agent adds bidirectional Slack communication for investigations

News

AWS DevOps Agent now enables bidirectional Slack communication for managing incident investigations directly within Slack.

  • Engineers can initiate investigations by @mentioning AWS DevOps Agent in Slack channels
  • All investigation activity, findings, and recommended actions captured in a single thread
  • Eliminates context-switching between communication and investigation platforms during incidents
  • Preserves complete audit trail for efficient post-incident retrospectives
  • Available in all commercial AWS Regions where AWS DevOps Agent is supported

This consolidation reduces cognitive load during critical incidents and streamlines the full investigation lifecycle within Slack.
