Generate unit tests for your modernized code with AWS Transform for .NET
.NET on AWS Blog
AWS Transform for .NET now automatically generates unit tests for modernized code, establishing a safety net for future changes without requiring separate test authoring efforts.
- Unit test generation runs alongside standard transformation, assessing testability and planning coverage for testable classes
- Opt-in at transformation start or after modernization completes, giving developers flexibility in when to enable testing
- Tests capture behavior of modernized code with high line and branch coverage to catch regressions
- Available in Visual Studio via AWS Toolkit extension with support for all AWS Regions where AWS Transform operates
- Transformation report shows test results including coverage metrics and test file counts per project
Developers can now finish .NET modernization with automated test coverage already in place, reducing the need for separate post-transformation test authoring projects.
