Announcing Blockchain Snapshots on AWS for node bootstrapping
News
AWS announces Blockchain Snapshots on AWS, enabling blockchain node operators to bootstrap Ethereum and Solana nodes using pre-synced chain data stored in Amazon S3.
- Pre-synced blockchain data available in S3 for faster node setup without peer-to-peer syncing
- Optimized for parallel extraction across multiple cores to reduce setup time
- Available at no charge with regular updates matching upstream provider cadence
- Use cases include adding RPC fleet capacity, recovering failed nodes, and re-syncing corrupted databases
- Available in US East (N. Virginia), Europe (Ireland), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo)
- Requires EC2 instance in same region with S3 gateway VPC endpoint
Blockchain Snapshots on AWS reduces latency and accelerates node deployment for Ethereum and Solana operators on AWS infrastructure.
