AWS Clean Rooms now supports Databricks as a data source
News
AWS Clean Rooms now supports Databricks as a data source, allowing collaboration members to securely analyze Databricks-managed data without moving or revealing source data.
- Members query Databricks tables shared through Delta Sharing directly in collaborations
- Databricks joins AWS Glue, Snowflake, and Amazon Athena as supported data sources
- Eliminates need to export or replicate Databricks data into Amazon S3
- Register Databricks tables by providing workspace URL, schema, table, and Delta Sharing share
- Example: retailers can collaborate with media partners on campaign measurement without building S3 exports
This enhancement reduces pipeline work and data governance complexity for AWS Clean Rooms users with Databricks data sources.
