This article announces the AWS Direct Connect Partner Program, which replaces the previous Service Delivery Program with a more accessible validation framework for network partners.
- V1 Entry Tier allows partners in new regions to join without customer case studies, provisioning Hosted Connections up to 500 Mbps
- V2 Full Program requires two unique customer references and enables Hosted Connections up to 25 Gbps with full program benefits
- Dedicated validation track for AWS European Sovereign Cloud (EUSC) serves customers with strict EU data sovereignty requirements
- Single self-assessment replaces previous multi-step validation, eliminating the separate Foundational Technical Review gate
- Partners validated on seven technical controls covering sales engagement, support, resiliency, location coverage, and connection delivery capability
The new program enables network partners in emerging markets to validate on technical capability alone, while streamlining the overall validation process for all partners.
