AWS Security Hub Network Scanning now available in AWS GovCloud (US)

Regional Expansion

This article announces the availability of AWS Security Hub Network Scanning in AWS GovCloud (US).

  • Probes resources from the internet to detect actual reachability beyond security group rules
  • Discovers public IP addresses, virtual machines, load balancers, and reachable ports
  • Identifies services running on discovered ports with Security Hub findings
  • Correlates findings with resource configurations to determine broader risk via Exposures
  • Included with Security Hub Essentials at no additional cost
  • Enabled by default for new customers; existing customers can enable per account or organization-wide

Network Scanning complements Security Hub's existing reachability findings by confirming actual internet exposure of AWS resources.
