Amazon RDS Proxy now supports TLS 1.3 for PostgreSQL database connections on Amazon Aurora and RDS, enhancing security and connection protocols.

  • Introduces improved cryptographic algorithms for TLS connections
  • Enables automatic negotiation of the most secure TLS version
  • Allows configuration of PostgreSQL databases to require TLS 1.3
  • Supports setting ssl_min_protocol_version parameter in parameter groups
  • Maintains RDS Proxy's goals of improving application scalability and security

This update provides enhanced security and more robust connection protocols for PostgreSQL database connections through RDS Proxy.
