Amazon Aurora has released support for new PostgreSQL versions, including 16.8, 15.12, 14.17, and 13.20, following the PostgreSQL community release on February 20, 2025.
- New versions available in all commercial AWS regions and AWS GovCloud (US)
- Includes PostgreSQL community bug fixes and improvements
- Features Aurora-specific enhancements like:
- Dynamic resizing for Optimized Reads temporary objects
- New features for Babelfish
- Users can initiate minor version upgrades by modifying their DB cluster
These updates continue to enhance Amazon Aurora's high performance, availability, and compatibility with PostgreSQL.
