AWS Parallel Computing Service (AWS PCS) now supports scaling logs to record compute node group scaling events and troubleshoot scaling issues.
- Scaling logs record state transitions for compute nodes including launches, registrations, scale-downs, and failures
- Helps troubleshoot why node groups didn't reach target size or identify failed launches due to capacity
- Opt-in feature with delivery to CloudWatch Logs, Amazon S3, and Amazon Data Firehose
- Available in all AWS Regions where AWS PCS is offered
Scaling logs enhance observability for AWS PCS, a managed HPC service that simplifies running elastic Slurm-based workloads on AWS.
