This article announces the public preview of AWS Well-Architected Agent, an AI-powered service that analyzes AWS environments to deliver targeted recommendations for improving applications across cost, security, performance, and resilience.

  • Analyzes infrastructure against 65+ AWS services and Well-Architected best practices
  • Provides goal-aligned, prioritized recommendations based on declared business objectives
  • Delivers three-level recommendations: individual resources, consolidated findings, and architectural patterns
  • Offers multiple remediation paths: console walk-throughs, IaC code changes, and AWS CLI commands
  • Supports pre-deployment architecture reviews by uploading Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK projects
  • Generates recommendations within 24 hours after profile creation
  • Available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), and US West (Oregon) regions
  • Requires AWS Support plan and customer-managed IAM roles for access

AWS Well-Architected Agent automates cloud architecture optimization by combining AI analysis with ready-to-implement fixes, complementing the existing AWS Well-Architected Tool.
