AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now supports endpoint connection management
News
AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now supports managing external connections through a new endpoint registry for centralized registration and management of endpoints and cross-account connections.
- Register and manage standard endpoints like cameras, sources, monitors, and destinations
- Share registered endpoints directly with other AWS accounts via AWS RAM
- Reduces costs by decreasing required compute instances and network latency
- Eliminates manual chaining of router inputs/outputs and out-of-band IP coordination
- Provides transparent encryption and protocol verification with built-in connection management
- Available in all AWS Regions where MediaConnect Router operates at no additional cost
The endpoint registry streamlines cross-account live video workflows for content distributors, broadcasters, and secure media transport use cases.
