AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now supports configurable recovery latency modes

News

AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now enables customers to configure latency settings for internal connections between inputs and outputs, replacing the previous automatic protocol latency configuration.

  • Two latency modes available: balanced mode for general use and low-latency mode for latency-sensitive workflows
  • Latency configured per router output, allowing different modes for multiple outputs from same input
  • New CloudWatch metric RouteFabricRecoveryLatency provides visibility into configured recovery latency
  • Configuration available via MediaConnect API, AWS Management Console, and AWS CLI
  • Available in all regions where MediaConnect Router is deployed

This enhancement gives customers granular control over recovery latency to optimize performance for their specific workflow requirements.
