Amazon QuickSight now supports programmatic export and import of shared folders, allowing users to backup, restore, replicate and migrate QuickSight folders along with their member assets and sub-folders.
Specifically, the update covers:
- The ability to export and import shared folders using the StartAssetBundleExportJob and StartAssetBundleImportJob APIs
- This eliminates the need to manage folder deployment separately from other assets
- The feature is available with Amazon QuickSight Enterprise Edition in all supported QuickSight regions
- It enables continuous replication and migration of QuickSight assets across different environments
