Amazon EFS (Elastic File System) now supports cross-account Replication, introducing new capabilities for multi-account data management and disaster recovery.

  • Enables replication of file systems between different AWS accounts
  • Allows customers to maintain up-to-date file system replicas in any AWS Region
  • Supports business continuity and multi-account disaster recovery requirements
  • Eliminates the need for custom data synchronization processes across accounts
  • Available for existing and new EFS file systems in all commercial AWS Regions

The feature can be configured through the Amazon EFS Console, AWS CLI, AWS CloudFormation, and APIs, providing flexible and easy implementation for enhanced data resilience.
