AWS Application Load Balancer introduces header modification for enhanced traffic control and security
News
AWS Application Load Balancer (ALB) has introduced a new header modification feature that enhances traffic control and security management.
- Allows renaming of load balancer generated TLS headers
- Enables insertion of custom response headers like CORS and HSTS
- Provides option to disable server response headers
- Can be configured via AWS APIs, CLI, or Management Console
- Supports centralized security policy enforcement at the load balancer level
The feature is available in all commercial AWS Regions, AWS GovCloud (US), and China Regions, offering organizations more flexibility in managing application traffic and security without modifying application code.
