AWS CloudTrail Lake launches enhanced analytics and cross-account data access

AWS has announced two major enhancements to CloudTrail Lake, its managed data lake for activity log aggregation and analysis:
- New "Highlights" dashboard with AI-powered insights (currently in preview)
- 14 new pre-built dashboards for security and operational monitoring
- Cross-account sharing of event data stores using Resource-Based Policies
- Ability to create custom dashboards with scheduled refreshes
- Supports security-focused views like top access denied events and failed login attempts
These features are available in all AWS Regions where CloudTrail Lake is supported, with AI insights currently previewed in select regions. There's no additional cost beyond standard query charges.
