Improve your viewers’ live streaming experience with Media-Quality Aware Resiliency

Media Blog

AWS has introduced Media Quality-Aware Resiliency (MQAR), a new capability that enhances live streaming experiences by automatically detecting and mitigating video quality issues across different AWS regions.

  • Provides automated, cross-region origin selection based on dynamically computed media quality scores
  • Enables real-time detection of video quality problems like black frames, frozen frames, and encoding issues
  • Integrates with AWS services including CloudFront, MediaLive, and MediaPackage
  • Automatically switches to the highest quality stream within seconds, reducing viewer disruption
  • Offers detailed observability through CloudWatch logs and metrics

The solution aims to improve viewer experience by providing broadcast-grade resiliency and quality assurance for live streaming events across multiple regions.
