Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling introduces highly responsive scaling policies

Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling has introduced two new capabilities to improve scaling policy responsiveness:
- Target Tracking policies now automatically adapt to individual application usage patterns
- Ability to monitor high-resolution CloudWatch metrics for more timely scaling decisions
- Particularly beneficial for applications with volatile demand like APIs, streaming services, and e-commerce sites
- Self-tuning policies optimize the balance between cost and performance
- Available in select commercial regions and configurable through AWS Management Console, CLI, SDKs, and CloudFormation
These enhancements help improve application performance while maintaining efficient EC2 resource utilization and reducing operational overhead.
