Amazon ECR announces 10x increase in repository limit to 100,000

Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) has increased its repository limit per region per account from 10,000 to 100,000.

• 10x increase in default repository limit
• Applies to all AWS commercial and Gov Cloud (US) regions
• Limit increase already automatically applied to existing registries
• Customers can still request further increases if needed
• Designed to support customer growth and reduce administrative overhead

This update provides more flexibility for organizations managing large numbers of container images and reduces the need to request service limit increases.
