Amazon CloudWatch has introduced Network Performance Monitoring, a new feature that enables comprehensive network performance tracking for AWS workloads using flow monitors.
- Provides near real-time visibility of network performance between compute instances and AWS services
- Offers TCP-based performance metrics for packet loss and latency
- Helps identify root causes of network-related performance issues
- Consolidates CloudWatch Internet Monitor, Network Monitor, and flow monitors into a single service
- Supports three types of monitoring: flow monitors, synthetic monitors, and internet monitors
The new feature allows proactive monitoring of network health and can provide detailed information to AWS Support for faster troubleshooting.
