AWS has announced Container Insights with enhanced observability for Amazon ECS, a new monitoring capability that provides detailed performance metrics and logs for container workloads.
- Enables quick root cause identification of container issues
- Provides granular performance metrics at task and container levels
- Offers proactive resource management through curated dashboards
- Supports cross-account monitoring with single pane of glass observability
- Integrates with CloudWatch Application Signals for end-to-end visibility
Users can enable the feature at either the cluster or account level, gaining improved monitoring capabilities that help reduce mean time to detect and repair application issues.
