AWS has launched Geographic IP Filtering for AWS Network Firewall, a new feature that allows customers to filter network traffic based on geographic location.

<li>Enables blocking or allowing traffic from specific countries</li>
<li>Automatically updates IP address databases from IANA</li>
<li>Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic</li>
<li>Available in all AWS Regions where Network Firewall is supported</li>
<li>Can be configured via AWS Management Console, CLI, SDK, or API</li>
</ul>

The feature helps organizations meet compliance requirements and enhance network security by controlling traffic from specific geographic regions. It uses MaxMind GeoIP databases to determine the location of IP addresses.
