Amazon Q Apps supports customization and governance of generative AI-powered apps
Machine Learning Blog
AWS has announced new features for Amazon Q Apps that enhance customization and governance of generative AI-powered applications within organizations:
- Verified Apps: Admins can endorse quality apps with a blue checkmark, surfacing them at the top of app libraries
- Custom Labels: Administrators can create category labels to organize apps based on team functions or organizational structure
- Private Sharing: App creators can share apps with specific users or groups, reducing library "noise"
- Data Collection Apps (preview): Enable gathering inputs across multiple users for surveys, retrospectives, and collaborative insights
These features aim to make generative AI more customizable and governable for enterprise users, allowing organizations to create, manage, and share AI-powered apps with appropriate controls.
