F1 revs up race day broadcasts with real-time data storytelling

Media Blog

Formula 1 (F1) has developed Track Pulse, a new AWS-powered data storytelling tool that enhances race day broadcasts by providing real-time insights and narrative opportunities for production teams.

  • Consolidates data from 300 vehicle sensors generating 1.1M telemetry points per second
  • Uses serverless AWS architecture including Fargate, DynamoDB, and Lambda
  • Enables production teams to quickly identify and highlight compelling race stories
  • Provides real-time updates on driver battles, championship predictions, and track performance
  • Plans to expand tool availability to broadcast partners and F1 TV in 2025

The tool represents F1's ongoing technological partnership with AWS, aimed at creating more immersive and data-driven fan experiences during race broadcasts.
