AWS Amplify Hosting has launched a new Web Application Firewall (WAF) protection feature in public preview, offering enhanced security capabilities for web applications.
- Directly integrates with AWS WAF to protect applications
- Provides security features including:
- IP blocking/allowlisting
- Geo-restrictions
- Protection against bot traffic
- Available in most AWS regions except opt-in regions
- Pricing during preview:
- $5/month per web ACL
- $1 per rule
- Requires subscription to a new Amplify Hosting advanced tier
The feature allows developers to significantly improve application security, mitigate risks, and protect against common web exploits.
