AWS has announced general availability of AWS WAF integration with Amplify Hosting, providing web application firewall capabilities directly within the Amplify console.
- One-click firewall integration for Amplify hosted applications
- Four protection categories available:
- Amplify-recommended firewall protection
- Restrict access to amplifyapp.com domain
- IP address protection
- Country-based access restrictions
- Protects against common web exploits like SQL injection and cross-site scripting
- Supports rate-based rules and DDoS protection
- Adds $15/month when a web application firewall is attached
This integration simplifies security management by providing enterprise-grade protection directly within the Amplify Hosting service.
