Amazon RDS for MySQL now supports MySQL Innovation Release 9.1 in the Amazon RDS Database Preview Environment.

  • MySQL 9.1 is the latest community Innovation Release with bug fixes, security patches, and new features
  • Available in Single-AZ and Multi-AZ deployments on latest instance classes
  • Database instances are retained for maximum 60 days and automatically deleted
  • Preview environment snapshots can only be used within the preview environment
  • Priced the same as production RDS instances in US East (Ohio) Region

This release allows users to evaluate the latest MySQL version with the benefits of a fully managed database service.
