Amazon RDS for Db2 now supports creating multiple databases within a single database instance, offering enhanced flexibility for enterprise database management.

  • Customers can provision up to 50 Db2 databases in a single RDS instance
  • Eliminates need to deploy and license databases individually
  • Enables quick creation, activation, deactivation, or deletion of databases
  • Reduces management overhead of separate RDS instances
  • Databases can be created using the create_database stored procedure

This update simplifies database management, allowing more efficient and cost-effective database deployment in AWS cloud environments.
