Amazon RDS for Db2 now supports M7i and R7i instances types

Amazon RDS for Db2 has expanded its instance type support to include M7i and R7i, which are the latest Intel-based offerings.

  • New maximum instance size is 48xlarge, offering 50% more vCPU and memory than M6i/R6i types
  • Available in Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) and hourly licensing models through AWS Marketplace
  • Can be launched via Amazon RDS Management Console or AWS CLI
  • Part of the fully managed Amazon RDS for Db2 service

This update provides increased computational power and flexibility for Db2 database deployments in the cloud.
