Amazon has launched a new CloudWatch Observability add-on for EKS clusters with simplified one-click onboarding and configuration.
- Enables CloudWatch Container Insights and Application Signals automatically
- Integrates with EKS Pod Identity for simplified IAM role management
- Can be installed directly during cluster creation
- Provides out-of-the-box observability telemetry in CloudWatch
- Available in all commercial AWS regions, including AWS GovCloud
The new add-on simplifies monitoring and troubleshooting for EKS workloads by reducing manual configuration steps and providing immediate insights into application performance and health.
