AWS Step Functions has increased its service quota from 10,000 to 100,000 state machines and activities per AWS account, enabling greater scalability and workflow management.

  • Tenfold increase in maximum registered state machines and activities
  • Supports orchestrating over 14,000 API actions from 220+ AWS services
  • Enables dynamic workflow creation for complex applications
  • Automatically applied to all AWS accounts without user intervention
  • Available across all AWS Regions where Step Functions is supported

This quota expansion allows customers to create more sophisticated and extensive workflow architectures within a single AWS account.
