Introducing JSONL support with Step Functions Distributed Map
Compute Blog
AWS Step Functions has introduced JSONL support for Distributed Map, enhancing data processing capabilities for large-scale serverless applications. Key highlights include:
- Native support for JSON Lines (JSONL) format in input and output processing
- New output transformations allowing more flexible data handling
- Ability to process large datasets in parallel with up to 10,000 concurrent workflows
- Support for additional delimited file formats like semicolon and tab-separated files
- Demonstrated through a practical GenAI batch inference workflow using Amazon Bedrock
The new feature enables more efficient data processing by simplifying input/output management and providing advanced transformation options for serverless architectures.
