News
Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) has introduced a new feature that displays the full snapshot size for EBS Snapshots in both the Console and API.
- Customers can now retrieve full snapshot sizes using the DescribeSnapshots API's new field 'full-snapshot-size-in-bytes'
- A new 'Full snapshot size' column appears in the EBS Snapshots console
- The feature shows the total size of all blocks in a snapshot, including blocks from previous snapshots
- For a 100 GB volume with 50 GB of data, the full snapshot size will display 50 GB
