AWS AppSync has enhanced its resolver testing capabilities with improvements to the EvaluateCode and EvaluateMappingTemplate APIs, enabling more comprehensive context object mocking for developers.
- Developers can now mock all context object properties during resolver and function unit testing
- Improved JSON input validation with clearer error messages
- Easy access to resolver stash (ctx.stash) and error tracking (ctx.outErrors)
- Simplified identity mocking by including only relevant caller information
- Enhanced console experience for better visibility into resolver test results
The update is available in all AWS Regions where AppSync is supported, making resolver testing more efficient and effective for developers.
