AWS has announced extended support for Kubernetes versions in Amazon EKS Anywhere, providing enhanced stability and security for enterprise customers.
- Extended support covers Kubernetes versions 1.28 and above
- Security patches now available for up to 26 months after version release
- Standard support remains 14 months, with an additional 12 months of patch support
- Available for customers with Amazon EKS Anywhere Enterprise Subscriptions at no extra cost
- Gives cluster administrators more time to plan Kubernetes upgrades
